Autumn colours in Kew Gardens

By Jonathan Culling

Half term at the end of October is my favourite time to get away to the countryside and enjoy nature at its most spectacular. This year, we had rented a cottage in Snowdonia but couldn’t go because of the pandemic “fire break” in Wales.

So, to get a fix of autumn colours, we went to Kew Gardens for the day. Hundreds of Londoners had the same idea and there were long lines to get in. So Kew certainly lived up to its name, but it was well worth the wait to get in!
