Do you know a school that would like to join our Nuts for the Trees scheme?
Every Autumn term, we give out starter kits to primary schools so that they can collect tree seeds and grow them into saplings. This provides a great opportunity to teach them about nature and gives the children a real sense of responsibility.
A year later, if all goes well, we love to think that the same children will proudly plant out the year-old saplings, then revisit them over the years as they grow into mature trees.
So, if you have a child of primary school age, please have a word with their teacher about Nuts for the Trees. If they sign up this summer term, we’ll work out how to get a starter kit to them in time for acorn season in October!
