Here’s our Nuts for the Trees challenge: get your primary pupils to go out and collect tree seeds; pot them up in special ‘root-trainer’ containers, watch them grow and then find somewhere to plant them the following year.
We’ll support you with our fabulous Nuts for the Trees starter pack – worth over £75 – and with webinars and shared experiences from other schools in the scheme. All you have to do is let us put your school logo up on our website, get working for nature and then write us a blog to let us know how your seedlings are doing.
What’s in our Nuts for the Trees starter pack?
The starter pack contains:
- 4 x 15 ‘root-trainer’ containers, enough to grow 60 trees from seed
- 1 watering tray large enough to hold the containers
- 1 signed copy of Max’s Little Book of Planting Trees
- 1 Nuts for the Trees t-shirt
- A certificate for your classroom, to show that you are participating in Nuts for the Trees.

We are a not-for-profit organisation, and our fundraising helps to buy starter packs for schools like yours. When we have sufficient funds for more starter packs, the form below will be open to applicants.
