Why did you join Nuts for the Trees?

At Ashley we want our children to build on the foundations for a love of one another, a love of learning and a love of life. Our value of Care for each other and our environment are integral to our Ashley life.

Through different areas of the curriculum, the fundamentals principles that exist in nature are investigated – the importance of them and our place in protecting them. On exploring the interconnectedness of the world around them, this enables them to make a positive contribution to the community and wider world.

On our grounds we are lucky to have many different trees. Oak, Maple, Sycamore, Rowan, Birch, Holly and Sweet Chestnut.  To collect our tree seeds and acknowledge their place in helping climate change, are all reasons for our children to get involved with the project.
